MOBILEAR GOES BEYOND TESTING

WE EDUCATE OUR CUSTOMERS

Listed below are some of the questions and concerns our clients have posed.

  • My facility is not required to implement the OSHA 29 CFR 1910 Hearing Conservation Amendment. Do I still need to implement a program?

Noise can damage hearing permanently regardless of its source. Whether noise comes from industrial sources or elsewhere, individuals should be trained in the hazards of noise and the correct use of hearing protection.

  • How do I know if the noise/sound is too loud?

Here’s a good rule of thumb: If communication is difficult from three feet away, chances are the sound is potentially harmful to hearing. Mobilear offers an audit program to help you determine if the levels are too loud.

  • How do I know if my company is in compliance with the OSHA 29 CFR 1910 Hearing Conservation Amendment? What if OSHA inspects my site?

Mobilear can perform an audit of your company and review each aspect of your program to ensure it meets OSHA guidelines.

  • I am regulated under MSHA. Can Mobilear provide services?

Yes, Mobilear is up to date with OSHA, MSHA and FRA (Federal Railroad Administration) guidelines.

  • What about radios at work? What is an STS? How do I know if a change is work-related?

Mobilear can help answer all your hearing conservation questions. Please contact us.

It is difficult to convince my employees to use hearing protection. They have concerns about safety and are worried that hearing protection will prevent them from hearing conversation and equipment sounds, such as beeps and low motor noise. How can I motivate them to wear hearing protection?

Mobilear has ideas on how to motivate employees, address their concerns and set up reward programs.

  • We have a large Hispanic population. How do we communicate effective hearing safety practices to these employees?

Mobilear can provide employee training and employee notification letters in both English and Spanish. Mobilear case history forms are available in many languages.

  • Our company currently has a service provider for hearing testing.

Mobilear can provide a competitive quote. We have the capabilities of integrating your past results into our system so no historical data will be lost.

  • We are a small company. Can you still come out?

Mobilear offers on-site packages for companies with less than 30 employees.

  • My current provider tells me what day they are available, whether it fits with my company’s schedule or not.

Since Mobilear is based locally, we have the flexibility to meet your specific needs for scheduling.
